MMA Brian Clark Memorial Run

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MMA Brian Clark Memorial Run

Tomorrow (Saturday, July 24, 2010) Members of the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association, friends, and relatives will gather in Granby, Massachusetts to attend the First Annual Brian Clark Memorial Run.

Brian Clark was a long-time member, and one of the longest serving members of the MMA's Board of Directors until his sudden death this past October.  Brain spent most of his time on the board as the MMA's District 4 Manager and was well known throughout all of the counties that make up this district. He was a dedicated fighter for the rights of motorcyclists and for the advancement of motorcycle safety programs within this state.

Spending as much as two hours travel time, one way, to attend the various county meetings within his district and MMA Board Meetings, Brian did this gladly and never asked for any reimbursement or complained.

Brian was known for his very off-beat sense of humor and it was never easy to determine when he was serious or when he was "busting your chops".  He oversaw many MMA events, including the MMA's Annual State Party, the Fall Round Up, and he never held an event that didn't “break even” (his frequent catch phrase).

In some ways more importantly, Brian always fought for the members of the MMA and had no tolerance for dishonesty or the board not conducting business in a professional manner. He was a true friend and mentor to many of us currently serving on the MMA's Board of Directors.

Brian was always available to the MMA and its members, was an immensely valuable asset to the MMA and the riders of this state and we all greatly miss him.

The run will be leaving from, and returning to, the home of Tank and Tammy Griswold 218 Taylor Street Granby, MA. Registration will begin at 10:00 AM with kick stands up at approximately 11:45 AM.

We will return around 1:00 PM and begin an afternoon of fun including a cookout, refreshments, raffles, a live band, and we are sure many stories, laughs, and fond memories of Brian.

The cost of this run is $15.00 per person and includes the cookout.

Please join the MMA in what we are sure will be a fitting tribute to Brian and a great party. Spend some time with old friends and make some new ones along the way.

We hope to see you all there!
