The Motorcycle Riders Foundation endorses U.S. Senator Scott Brown in his
re-election campaign for U.S. Senator from Massachusetts.
U.S. Senator Scott Brown is a long-time motorcycle rider, an active member of the Massachusetts Motorcycle Association (MMA), and a long-time supporter of the MMA’s Legislative Agenda. As a Massachusetts State Representative and later State Senator, Scott Brown formally co-Sponsored many MMA-Authored bills and actively supported the MMA’s Legislative Agenda inside the chamber. At a recent luncheon locally, an MMA Board Member questioned whether Senator Brown supports NHTSA’s encouragement of Federally-Funded Motorcycle-only Checkpoints, to which the Senator answered, “Certainly not.”
Scott was recognized by the MRF during their “Bikers inside the Beltway” event last year and Scott has pledged to remain vigilant and alert the MMA Board if he hears of any movement of any motorcycle-related bills at the Federal level. Having Scott’s eye focused on our issues allows the MMA to alert the MRF and riders across the United States to take action, as needed.
The MRFPAC’s Formal Endorsement goes a long way towards helping motorcyclists all across the United States: in fact, Scott may be the only motorcycle rider and active member of a State Motorcycle Rights Organization (SMRO) in Congress today. Having an SMRO Member in the US Senate gives us “eyes and ears” at the Federal level. The MRFPAC has a unique opportunity to help keep this motorcycle rider in office as a United States Senator: please support the re-Election of U.S. Senator Scott Brown.
MRFPAC provides direct financial support to recommended candidates for the U.S. House and the U.S. Senate, who will fight to preserve the universal right to a safe and unrestricted motorcycling environment for this and future generations.
The mission of the members of The Motorcycle Riders Foundation is to maintain and improve our ability to act as an advocate before national, state, and local legislative, executive, and judicial bodies and with private or public entities regarding issues affecting motorcycles, motorcyclists, or motorcycling. Maintain and improve our financial base and ensure financial stability. Maintain and improve our capability to meet and exceed the needs of our membership base and all state motorcyclists' rights organizations. Maintain and improve our capability to be the national information center for motorcyclists' rights information. Enhance training of national, state, and local motorcyclists' rights activists.
